    Product feature
    1. a word from the product manager
We designed and developed the BULLWHIP 500 to provide a high level of support, thanks to our level 2 liner and a powerful and dissociated tightening system, so that we can offer a boot for the experienced snowboarder at a very affordable price. This was successfully achieved with this boot: it is very comfortable and you immediately feel supported when you try it on. One of the testers claimed it had a "cocooning effect". This is indeed what we attempted to achieve.
    2. Comfort
Comfort is very important in snowboarding. To limit the compression points, we have: _ revised the tongue on the liner so that it does not interfere with the ankles; _ added a 2nd layer of foam at the instep/calf fold so that the places do not restrict blood flow; _ chose a soft foam
    3. Foot Entry/Removal
But comfort also comes from getting the boot on/off: we have always given our boots a wide opening to make them easy to get on/off as well as straps on the tongue of the liner and the shoe to facilitate opening. a third strap at the rear of the liner can be used for carrying as well as easily removing the liner for drying thoroughly.
    4. FAST LOCK 2Z tightening system
The Fast Lock 2Z tightening system is actually the Fast Lock tightening system of the Boogey 300 model, where the tightening is concentrated on a smaller zone, where it is needed the most: that is, around the ankle bone for extra heel support. A powerful riptab finishes of the tightening of the top section of the upper. 2Z = 2 tightening zones _ at the bottom: the tighter it is, the better the support. _ at the top: the tighter it is, the more rigid the boot, as it restricts the forward flex.
    5. Boot flex / stiffness
The flex of the Bullwhip is medium. It must be effective for holding a high-speed turn (need a stiff boot), but it must also react quickly in short turns or a surprise bump (need a relatively flexible boot/fast extension of the legs). We are really in between the 2 and the Bullwhip 500. Compared with the Boogey, the flex AND the support of the heel have been enhanced.
    6. Heel support: LEVEL 2 liner
Heel support is an essential element of snowboarding, in order to steer the board. This requires 1. the feet to be properly held in the liner, 2. the liner to be properly held in the boot In the Bullwhip, the LEVEL 2 liner uses 3 technologies: _ SUPPORT FOAM ankle foam _ 3-POINT liner tightening _ HOOK & LOOP LINK between the boot and the liner + non-slip material and heel + Double thickness foam at the tongue on the instep (support and comfort).
    7. Ankle foam: SUPPORT FOAM technology
The ankle foam padding sections fill the hollow underneath and behind the ankle bone to hold the heel in place. The LEVEL 2 liner has 13 mm thick dual material ankle bone foam padding - material 1 in contact with the foot: 8mm low-density foam for optimum comfort - material 2, stuck to the material 1: 5 mm high-density foam for holding the heel more firmly in the boot This is a very good material for combining good support and excellent comfort
    8. Liner fastening: 3 POINT technology
3-point fastening (instead of 4-point) offers 2 big advantages: _ SUPPORT: it holds the ankle in position very well because there is less friction with the laces and a significant proportion of the energy deployed is transmitted to the 3rd and final fastening point = ankle for maximum support. _ WARMTH: not having a 4th attachment point at the instep lets the blood flow to the toes. And it's blood circulation that keeps your toes warm.
    9. Link between liner and boot: HOOK & LOOP LINK concept
We've added rip-tabs between the liner and boot, at the rear. The goal is to minimise any slippage of the liner inside the boot, so that the board can be guided more effectively.
    10. Base: grip, traction, cushioning AND thermal insulation
The 3-GRIPS sole provides 3 different types of grip 1. front and rear zones for uphill/downhill snowboarding 2. lateral zones for grip when banking 3. central zone for grip on slippery terrain: frozen board or ground Made of rubber with 3.5 mm studs. It also has an inner (not visible) 5 mm EVA foam midsole (80% air) for excellent thermal insulation, as well as cushioning.
    11. Thermal Insulation
We have several ways to keep your feet warm: _ the sole has a proper 5 mm thick EVA insulating layer (80% air) which blocks the cold coming up from the ground _ the sockliner is another 5 mm EVA layer with a polyester material _ the 3-point liner tightening adjustment (not 4-points) lets the blood flow to the toes. It is the blood flow that keeps the toes warm _ as well as the foam that surrounds the boot, of course.
    Product testing
    1. Composition
Boot: 100% synthetic polyurethane Liner: 100% synthetic polyester (lining and outer). Base: 100% rubber + 5 mm of EVA inside
    2. Storage advice
At the end of the day, take the liner out of the upper for better ventilation and fast drying. I even recommend removing the insole of the liner so that it dries properly.
    3. Cleaning advice
      Wash with soapy water.
    4. Product catchline
Bullwhip snowboarding boots have a lacing system focused on the lower section of the boot, concentrating pressure on a small area. The tightening at the top is provided by a riptab for maximum force.

Used for 1 week or less
Wear them about the house but at £50 they are a sniff compared to other boots
Quick to put on and good out the box
      They are hard to break
