      I have always liked hula hooping and thought this would be a fun way to improve fitness and tighten up my core/abs area. The hoop is lighter than others I have seen, weighing about 1kg but you can feel the effects of using it. I try to do at least 30 mins a day, to fast music works best so you can get it spinning faster but you can also do it whilst watching TV - bonus :-) I think it's most effective if you can use it at hip and waist level for some of your workout and change from clockwise to anti-clockwise occasionally. I'm enjoying using it and would recommend it to others - it is much easier to use than lightweight plastic hoops.
