  7. Additional recommended products
Care products: spray or liquid water repellent treatment in the washing machine. To renew the fabric's water-repellent properties and optimise performance throughout the lifespan of your garment. Using these products at each wash helps to preserve all your jacket's water repellent properties.
  8. Waterproof component
We measure a fabric's resistance to a column of water in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure withstood, the more waterproof the fabric. A component with a waterproof rating of 2000 mm can therefore withstand the pressure of a 2000 mm column of water (which is approximately equivalent to a one-hour rain shower).
  9. Waterproof garment
Advanced Technologies®: this garment has been subjected to a shower test using 60 litres of water/sqm/hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains.
  10. Component breathability
To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity evaporates, and the higher the fabric's breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 920 = little or no breathability.
  11. Water repellent component
A fabric is water repellent when it allows water slide over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight, breathable and warm. The fabric is made water repellent by treating its outer surface. This treatment must be repeated throughout the garment's lifetime (recommended after every wash). Water repellent treatment products are available in our stores. All Quechua waterproof jackets have received a water repellent treatment
  12. A socre for comparing products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impact is calculated across its entire life cycle using different indicators. An overall ABCDE score is attributed to help you more readily identify the products with the best environmental performance by comparing the same type of product (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon is committed to visually displaying environmental information. For more information visit:

  • Use to be a nice product

    Dominique (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I bought the same model last year, the black version of it, have been very happy with it and used it extensively, Unfortunately, although buying the same size and all, that navy model seems to be 2 sizes smaller making it rather uncomfortable to wear.
A pity as everything else is really making a fine product for various type of weather and circumstances. Easy to remove the insight fleece and use it on its own. This is a real 3 in 1
the concept, the colors, the light weight
the size is not what it was a year ago.
    Response of the brand
Thank you for your feedback on the Quechua Rainwarm 300 3-in-1. It's great to hear you have enjoyed the black version and I apologise for the negative experience caused by the Navy. I shall share your comments with Quechua regarding the sizing. If you remain dissatisfied, please drop into your local store where a member of the team will find a solution.Chris Allen UK Market Manager DECATHLON

Warm and comfortable. Easy fastening with a nice high collar with enough room for a cosy scarf. Inner fleece fits the outer well with good quality press studs to hold the sleeves in place. My husband really likes this jacket.
    Comfort, many pockets, very waterproof.
Not much but the velcro down the front catches woo
  • Zip issues

    Davy (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Not even wore the jacket once. After taking out the fleece and trying to reattach the zip on the left hand side will not take the fleece zip. Seems like poor workmanship. Need to now take this back as going to Isle of Skye this weekend.
    Response of the brand
    Hello Davy,

I am very sorry to hear about your issue with the RainWarm 300 Hiking Jacket, this jacket includes YKK zippers which should not break and are of course covered under the jackets 2 year warranty.
