    Product feature
    1. Greater freedom of movement
The Tribord 500 4/3 children's wetsuit has a cut and materials designed to increase freedom of movement and make paddling easier. The arms and the top of the wetsuit are made of super-stretch neoprene to make paddling movements easier. All the seams are stretch seams.
    2. Materials
Tribord 500 wetsuits are made of 100% neoprene to ensure optimal thermal insulation. The neoprene is lined with synthetic fabric for added resistance to wear. Neoprene thickness: 4 and 3 mm. Neoprene is a closed-cell polychloroprene elastomeric foam with trapped nitrogen bubbles that have insulating properties. We test and guarantee the thermal quality of our neoprene materials.
    3. How does neoprene work?
By trapping a thin layer of water around the body, a neoprene wetsuit works in two ways: 1. The trapped water gradually warms up; 2. Heat transfer from the body decreases. The wetsuit and the thin covering of water form a layer of insulation.
    4. Watertight assembly
The seams are stitched and glued to ensure a watertight seal and durability. The seams are "blind-stitched". The thread does not pass all the way through the neoprene, so water can't get through. The absence of threads on the inside avoids irritation and chafing. Patches for comfort and reinforcement are strategically placed on the inside in sensitive areas.
    5. Windproof
We have added a windproof panel on the chest of the wetsuit (Fine Mesh smooth neoprene) to prevent the shivering which can occur as a result of windchill when surfing, bodyboarding, windsurfing or kitesurfing. This component improves the thermal comfort of the wetsuit and reduces shivering.
    6. Neck
The neck finish has been developed to limit irritation on even the most sensitive skin. However, we recommend that you wear a UV top under the wetsuit to reduce the risk of irritation.
    7. Recommendations for use
Make sure the flap is always inside the wetsuit to limit the risk of irritation with the zip and the neck.
    8. Fastening
Our zips and fastenings are laboratory tested in order to ensure an optimal lifespan and good resistance to salt water.
    9. Zip pull
We are required by law to put a short cord on the zips of junior products to prevent the risk of strangulation for the youngest users. For older children you can add a longer cord so that they can operate the zip themselves. A small rip-tab prevents accidental opening of the zip during use.
    10. Sizing and fit
A surfing wetsuit should be a very tight fit to ensure the best possible thermal efficiency. It is perfectly normal to have the impression it is too tight when trying it on in a fitting room or at home. This discomfort quickly disappears once the suit gets wet. We have put the zip at the back of the wetsuit for more comfort during surf sports (when lying down to paddle).
    11. Multi-water sports wetsuits
Our wetsuits are designed to meet the needs of the most demanding surfers. Our design choices also make them compatible with other water sports such as kitesurfing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, water skiing, sea wading or SUP (stand up paddle boarding).
    Product testing
    1. Composition
      Foam : 100.0% Rubber - Chloroprene (CR) - Neoprene Lining : 100.0% Polyamide (PA)
    2. Storage advice
In a dry, ventilated place. Avoid heat sources. To extend the life of your wetsuit, do not leave it out to dry in direct sunlight. Machine washing is not recommended.
    3. Cleaning advice
Rinse with fresh water. Do not dry in direct sunlight as this speeds up the ageing process of the Neoprene.
    4. Product catchline
Warm and flexible children's wetsuit for use in cold water. Stretch neoprene for greater freedom of movement. Windproof neoprene on the chest to prevent shivering.
    5. Lab tested
Developed and tested by our design teams in Hendaye, France. The components used for this product are laboratory tested to ensure the best possible quality and durability.

    • TRIBORD 500 Children’s 4/3 mm Neoprene Wetsuit

Well made item, my 8 year old loves this new suit, he spends most the day in and out of the water when we are out wakeboarding at the lake, keeps him plenty warm. Flexible and easy to move in, he has never complained once about it.... great value for money, i scoured the web looking for kids wetsuits that are warm, there is a lot of over priced brand name stuff out there that didn't have the specification of this suit. The overhead flap stops the cold water creeping up your back via the zip. Highly recommended.
      Thank you Decathlon.
      Well made good tight fit
ALL wetsuits are a pain to put on.

Worn in Atlantic off Ireland for over two hours with no shivering. Bought because of feeling the cold before, but not this year. Great wetsuit.
      Well made, very warm
